Oblivious is a tactical RPG presents the possibility to fuck cute girls and fight evil monsters in a high fantasy theme. The protagonist is nameless mage, a summoner that summons pretty girls with his powerful magic. As he later discovers, this feat of summoning not only brings the girls to his kingdom from various worlds and alternate realities, but also bonds them with him, making these pretty ladies gradually fall in love with a hero. To save the kindom, you need to collect the girls, by picking them up in scripted quests and random draws. Your Team will initially contains three warriors, but eventually it will grow to five (plus one warrior can be borrowed from an online friend), from a selection of sixty or more.

Girls are taken straight from history or mythology, so you will be interacting and dating Beowulf, Brynhildr or even Leonardo Da Vinci and Plato – of course with looks of busty moe anime girl. Each girl belongs to one of the four classes: warrior, rogue, cleric or wizard.

Gameplay

Stats are pretty standard for a tactical RPG, like ATK, DEF, HP and DEX (responsible for dodging), but it’s the special abilities where the game shines. Combination of various teams dedicated to different quests provides limitless tactical abilities and you can have up to six squads that can be freely switched.

On top of that, you can boost up your power by equipping magical items in five slots for each warrior. Items can be then upgraded by melting the same type into one, more powerful item. The items have different specializations too, so some will be more useful for tanks, while other will provide Magical Attack and there are also unique items, typically available through special quests. Equipment can be evolved too, into better versions, just like warriors.

Gameplay is presented througs series of battles, both main quest battles and a sidequests, where typically the prize might be a new girl or some limited equipment. Winning battles provides loot, gold and experience. Before main battles you will be presented with a VN-like story or actually a Kinetic Novel, as there are no choices. The dialogues are pretty predictable, with anime tropes like clumsy priest or silent warrior that is too shy to confess love to protagonist. Dialogues can be skipped if you prefer to go straight to action.

Battles are straightforward, as you have no control over your team, and success depends if you properly equipped your team and picked best warriors for the job. There are 3 waves of enemies in each battle that might end with a boss fight.

Leveling up your warriors is allowed through special gems, dedicated to each class, and when you obtain max level for any girl, you’ll be able to evolve her to the next start, with levels reset up to one.

There are also weekly dungeons that allows picking up power-up items easily, so for example on Monday you can get items for warriors, on Tuesday for clerics, etc. My favorite weekly event is Saturday, when you can get random affection items in dungeons, which allows you to quickly build up your affection with girls.

It definitely should be mentioned that game features microtransactions, though they’re rather optional. I’m playing it for two weeks now, and everything could be obtained without any additional payments. Crystals – premium currency can be obtained regularly for free, even in daily quests, so plenty of opportunity to get gachas, even the *10 one, where you get 10 draws at the cost of 9.

Energy points needed for various actions also regenerate quickly, as you’ll be recovering them not only with time, but also on each level up, when you help in guild fights and by random energy bottles drops that I stashed 30 or 40 during my two weeks playtrough and don’t need to use them up at all!

Hotness

Girls will undress and perform naughty acts only if you level them up and give them gifts. Improving affection to 100% allows you to unlock hentai scene and unlocking last star through evolution unlocks second sex scene. Alternatively to get the second star you can use “Love potion”, though these potions are very rare and hard to get.

In a typical Visual Novel fashion, you’ll be clicking the dialogue and enjoy voiced, non-animated love making scenes that are quite lenghty. Game is also totally uncensored, though it doesn’t feature nasty stuff, like rape or lolicon and that’s a good thing. No need for these things in games in my opinion!

Pros:

• Love the artwork – girls are sexy and the hentai scenes are hotness
• Combat system works really well – party combinations are easy to learn, hard to master
• Works fine on PC and should work on smartphones
• Partially voiced in Japanese
• Lots of girls to collect, and each has their own mini story

Cons:

• There are microtransactions as in many MMORPG games, but game plays totally okay without premiums
• Some dialogues sounds weird, probably due to translation errors
• Minor glitches – I couldn’t get the game to work after recent update, had to switch to different browser (try this solution if you have the same problem)
